It is toxic, sometimes fun,
causes feelings to
be hurt and
relationships to fail.
It vicious and lures you in
with its ill thoughts and
lies.
It keeps you stuck
in a dark place
you don't want to be.
It holds you back and
keeps you from
what you should be doing.
Lies that keep you
held prisoner in
your own mind and prevent you
from hearing God's word.
Its the harshness of
the world living in your head.
Those thoughts
that keep you up at night
and
tell you that you are not
worthy,
you are not loved,
you are not....
fill in the blank.
Stinking thinking
is what it is.
Hanging over your head like
a black storm cloud
waiting to
pour out its ugliness
onto you.
