The Little Things
Take your red roses
and diamonds,
These are not the things
she needs.
Empty promises, meaningless
words are just lies,
and not what she
needs to hear.
A simple kiss on
the nose,
a cup of coffee
just because,
these mean more
than words
and empty
promises.
A note just to
say Hi,
A single lily
and not
a bouquet
will earn her heart.
She doesn't need
your trinkets
or
fancy words.
She just needs
the little things!
